My Fuehrer

by Dani Levy

The truly truest thruth about Adolf Hitler

December 1944: the "total war" is as good as totally lost. Goebbels, however, isn't willing to be so easily defeated. On New Year's Day, the Fuehrer is supposed to reignite the public's fighting spirit with an aggressive speech. The only problem is that the Fuehrer can't do it. Sick and depressive, he is avoiding the public. The only person who can now help is his former acting teacher, Professor Adolf Gruenbaum - a Jew. Goebbels spirits him and his family out of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and sets them up in the Reich Chancellery. Time is running out - the Fuehrer has only five days to return to top form...

Press Quotes

“An off-beat, absurdist fantasy…brings the abstract violence of war down to a personal level…a provocative, dissonant film that waltzes along to its own absurdist tempo.”
Donald Munro, The Fresno Bee

“A stellar cast, excellent production values and a neat storyline with a cheeky twist.”
Derek Elley, Variety
