Munich, 29 January 2019. Beta Cinema is pleased to announce the continued collaboration with much sought-after director Edward Berger on his latest film, ALL MY LOVING, and has acquired all international rights outside Germany and Austria. The film will celebrate its World Premiere at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival, as the centrepiece of the Panorama Section.

Produced by Port au Prince Film & Kultur Produktion in co-production with Pandora Film Produktion and WDR, ALL MY LOVING marks the renewal of the partnership between Beta Cinema, Edward Berger and his producer Jan Krüger after critically acclaimed Jack, which played in the Berlinale Competition in 2014. Praised as a “powerfully unnerving and gently harrowing story” by Screen International’s Mark Adams, Jackserved as a springboard for Berger’s international career that led him to direct the series Patrick Melrose, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, and is soon to excel further with the upcoming feature film Rio, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, and again Benedict Cumberbatch.

ALL MY LOVING is a quiet and intimate snapshot into the lives of the siblings Stefan (41), Julia (44) and Tobias (34). At first the three seem to be doing fine – although Stefan hasn’t grown up much and is still taking advantage of his job as a pilot when chasing women, Julia is obsessing more over the well-being of a dog than that of her husband – until we understand why –, and Tobias will never complete his university degree, if he keeps putting the needs of others before his own. When the cracks in the surface become too big to ignore, they realize that they have reached a point where something has to change, before the rest of their lives can begin. Amidst chaos, mistakes and insecurities they are trying to find their own piece of happiness.

Featuring Lars Eidinger (Personal Shopper, Clouds of Sils Maria), Nele-Mueller Stöfen (Jack), and Hans Löw (In My Room, Toni Erdmann), the film was written by Edward Berger and Nele Mueller-Stöfen and marks another collaboration with Jack DoP, Jens Harant.

Thorsten Ritter, EVP at Beta Cinema, comments: “We are thrilled to collaborate again with such a capable and compassionate filmmaker. Eddi deserves all the acclaim he has received lately. In ALL MY LOVING, he goes after the nuances, the personal and intimate moments, as he explores the universal themes of family and love. And as with Jack, he manages to strike just the right tone that will resonate with women and men of similar age around the world, facing change in their lives.”

“Beta’s taste in cinema is unparalleled. I feel so honoured to be part of their slate and am thrilled to be working with them once more”, replies Edward Berger.

Producer Jan Krüger adds: “Beta Cinema did a marvellous job bringing Jack to a worldwide audience. So we are very happy to continue with ALL MY LOVING and are looking forward to many territories and festivals.”

Born 1970 in Germany, Edward Berger graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and directed his debut Gomez in 1997. He won the German Grimme Award for A Good Summer (2012).
