Munich, 3 November 2008. As the American Film Market kicks off in Santa Monica, California, Beta Cinema announces the sale of the spectacular opera filming of La Bohème with world-famous singers Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazón to film distributors in Great Britain and Japan. Beta Cinema  announced on Monday that the production by Oscar nominee Robert Dornhelm ("Children of Theatre Street," "War and Peace") will be released in theaters in Great Britain (Axiom, "Tosca") in December, and in Japan (Star Sands / Asia Content Center/ Tokyo Theaters) in January 2009. The Puccini opera filmed by UnitelClassica and MR Film will also be shown in Australia/New Zealand (Palace) and in the Czech Republic/Slovakia (Hollywood Classic).

La Bohème will be presented to buyers at AFM (5.-12. Nov 2008), one of the leading film markets in the world, this Friday (3 pm, Laemmle Monica 4). The opulent feature film about the fatally ill Mimì and her poor artist lover Rodolfo will be given its international public premiere in London in mid December. La Bohème is distributed in Germany and Austria by NFP/Warner and Constantin Film.
